Coster de Bellavista is a magical vineyard of old vines of Cartoixa de Marina (red/pink Xarel.lo) close to Nulles. Francesc discovered this parcel while running, immediately drawn to the 80+ year old vines planted in goblet, tucked into the forest and opening up with views towards the north. The soils are predominantly calcareous, with clay and a visible concentration of iron. Every new vintage has skin contact, with fermentation in amphora and aging in stainless steel. And every new vintage is pure energy, deep in complexity, with a beautiful salinity that reminds us that we are moments away from the Mediterranean Sea. It is filled with notes of chamomile, crisp white fruits and pink pepper and presents a light pink hue, worthy of the wines found in Emporda or Provence, but has everything to do with the rich terroir of Tarragona.
