REGION: Les Albères, Roussillon

GRAPE: Majority grenache gris, with a touch of grenache noir and grenache blanc

AGE OF VINES: 80+ years

SOIL: Granitic sand

VINIFICATION: 10 days of carbonic macération

ÉLEVAGE: 7 months in old barrique

A single parcel of 80 year old vines located at the foot of the Albères mountains, 20 minutes inland from Banyuls. The vineyard is co-planted with all three colors of grenache in goblet, although the vast majority is grenache gris. The parcel is flat and surrounded by trees and flowering shrubs, creating natural shields from the winds and plenty of room for wild life. The The soil is composed predominantly of granitic sand, contributing to its signature elegance and salinity. The 2018 vintage was picked a few days later than planned, giving way to slightly riper berry fruit. The short maceration lends to a dark rosé, with a fresh acidity and incredible energy.
